Workshop - How to publish a magazine

“Have you ever dreamed of launching your own magazine? Then you’ll want to hear Melanie’s experience, tips and tricks…It will save you headaches and give you a boost of confidence!”

In this workshop, Melanie will be talking you through her experience self-publish her magazine Spellbound. She’s published two issues so far, doing everything from interviewing amazing people for the features to designing everything and dealing with printers, contributors and fulfilling orders herself. For the second issue, she brought talented contributors in - editors, writers and illustrators to enrich Spellbound and finally learn to delegate some things too…

She’s not going to lie, it was hard releasing a magazine during Covid and she knows it hindered her ability to get brick and mortar stockists, but she considered the whole venture very successful with people buying and reading Spellbound all over the world. She’ll be sharing her tips, tricks and what she learnt so far. See below to discover what we’ll cover during the workshop.
