Have you ever wondered how you could make your own typeface? Well, it’s not as hard as it might seem and Melanie will teach you how in this workshop! From sketching ideas and letterforms on paper to vectorised shapes and the right software to use - you’ll be learning how to make your own typeface and export it as an OTF file which will be easy to install and use on any computer.

What you’ll need: Paper • Pencil •Phone camera or scanner • Photoshop and Illustrator on computer • Fontself

Where: This online workshop will run on Zoom on Tuesday 21 February 2023. It will last 1 hour and 30 minutes. The workshop will be recorded so you will be able to access it later on too.

Good to know: You’ll be able to ask questions during the workshop, through the chat or directly via video. Mimi’s workshops are meant to be lovely, lively events where you to feel at ease and participate if you want to.

Important: We recommend you buy the software Fontself before the class so you can use it with us. But you’re also welcome to follow the workshop first and then decide if you want to buy the software or not. Most of the workshop exercises won’t be on Fontself.
