Workshop - Prop Styling Tips and Tricks

“For anyone who wants to elevate their styling skills and have more confidence in their content creation”

In this workshop, you will learn about the magical world of prop styling and why it is so necessary when creating content. Many small businesses are expected to “do it all” including creating their own content to market and sell their products and services. Styling helps you create a visual story to connect with your audience, evoke feelings, and leave a lasting impression. With these simple tips and tricks, you will take home resources to elevate your photos to the next level. This workshop will be taught from a broader perspective, so it can be applied to a wide variety of areas of life.

About your teacher: Rayna Marlee Schwartz

Hi, I’m Rayna. I am a designer-stylist-creative director-curator … a multi-hyphen creative based in Toronto, Canada. I am an award winning prop stylist with close to ten years of professional experience working on commercial and editorial sets. I spent the first half of my career focused on editorial design with work published in many magazines including Chatelaine Magazine, HGTV Magazine, and Today’s Parent Magazine. While I continue to style, I am also pursuing my love for design and patterns creating unique, playful, simple, yet stunning pattern designs available to license.

I am a proud mama of two boys, Benson + Oliver, who inspire everything I do. I curate the blog The Mom Lists - a design centered lifestyle brand featuring makers, creatives, and companies pushing boundaries and doing awesome things. I am a connector and love helping others. I am always cheering on other designers and small businesses - I truly believe in community over competition. I love juxtapositions that just work. I love layers. I love textures. I love patterns. I love muted and calm colours with a pop of excitement. I love curated chaos and timeless traits with a side of something new and fresh. I love nature walks with the fam and flowers, always flowers. Children’s artwork and doodles are just the best!

My versatile background in design and education is reflected in everything I do. I navigate each project with an open mind and always strive to have the confidence of a child. I love collaborating and meeting new people, please say hello, at rayna.marlee@gmail.com - I’d love to connect.
